A man got angry when he could not withdraw money from an ATM.
Screaming, "Zuma, give me my money!" he picked up a big rock and started attacking ATMs.
According to security guard Mbuyiseli Blou (52), there was glass everywhere after the man had thrown the huge rock.
It happened at the Nedbank and Standard Bank ATMs at the Big Daddy Liquor Store in Mabandla Road, KwaNobuhle,
outside Uitenhage, Eastern Cape in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The guard said a group of four drunk men coming from a tavern nearly beat up the man.
"They wanted to beat him up because they couldn't draw money. I begged them not to harm him," said Mbuyiseli.
"He was so stressed because of his zero bank balance."
The man's sister (44) said: "When he is drunk he always shouts at the president. He is unemployed and he wants Zuma
to pay him."
She said he often goes to Johannesburg because he wants to write movie scripts, or be an actor or singer.
"He believes film producers in Joburg cheated him and are making millions out of his work."
Sergeant Majola Nkohli told Daily Sun a case of malicious damage to property was opened and a 48-year-old man appeared
in the KwaNobuhle Magistrates Court on Monday on charges of malicious damage to property.
"He was released on R500 bail and the case was remanded to 13 April."
