A man in Cardiff, UK, threatened a chip shop worker with a gun after she refused to give him a free fishcake.
Nikki Griffiths, 33, was at the Friary Fish Bar around 6pm on October 21, when he asked the woman behind the counter for free food.
He initially asked for a potato fritter but when she said they didn't have any, he asked her for a free fishcake.
When she refused, he pulled out what looked like a BB gun and threatened to shoot her but then said it was not worth it and put it back in his pocket and left and she locked the door.
She called the police and he was arrested.
Griffiths told police he had been drinking and that he wanted to force them to give him free food.
The court heard that the imitation gun did not have any pellets in it and could not fire.
Griffiths pleaded guilty to attempted robbery and possession of an imitation firearm and was jailed for 40 months.
